Dr. Sarah G. Clark
Dr. Sarah G. Clark was born in Houston, Texas and raised in Paris, Texas where she spent the majority of her childhood. From childhood gymnastics to college athletics, Dr. Clark has always been in love with sports. Sarah started gymnastics at the age of 3 and by the age of 14 had earned a spot on the USA Gymnastics Trampoline and Tumbling Team. She was a USA team member from 2007-2010 as a senior elite athlete and was recognized by the International Gymnastics Federation (FIG) as a world class athlete in 2009.
As a member of the USA team, Dr. Clark received 3 National Championship titles, 3 International Titles, 6 International Medals, and 10 International top 10 finishes. Her proudest achievement took place in St. Petersburg, Russia where she and her USA teammates took third in the 2009 Trampoline & Tumbling World Championships on double-mini trampoline. After high-school, Dr. Clark continued her athletic career at the University of Texas in Austin as a Division I diver where she and her teammates earned the title of Big 12 champions in 2011. While at the University of Texas, Dr. Clark obtained her bachelor's degree in Chemistry graduating Summa Cum Laude in 2014 with highest honors.
She began her dental career in 2015 at Texas A&M Baylor College of Dentistry in Dallas, Texas, where she also met her husband, Dr. Steven Clark. In honor of both academic and clinical achievement in the field of dentistry, Sarah was inducted into both the Odontological Honor Society and Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Honor Society. She graduated with honors from Texas A&M Baylor College of Dentistry in 2019.
Upon graduation from dental school, Sarah and her husband, Dr. Steven Clark, a native of Conway, Arkansas, moved back to Conway to pursue their careers in dentistry. The couple met in their first week of dental school and were married in Hot Springs, Arkansas in 2018. The two love spending time with family and friends, working together on woodworking projects, and especially enjoy their time together outdoors: camping, hunting, and fishing.
"I have always had many interests within the field of dentistry ranging from pediatrics to geriatrics, and root canals to fabrication of dentures. This led me to pursue a career in general dentistry where I can implement each interest into everyday practice. While I share a love for all aspects of general dentistry, I have a particular passion for both cosmetic and sports dentistry. With cosmetics, I love to see the transformation that takes place within patients not only with the happiness that the new appearance of their smile brings to them, but also with the internal boost to their self-esteem. The visible increase in their self-esteem during this transformation is an invaluable reward that is truly humbling. With sports dentistry, I aim to combine my love for sports and dentistry together by helping young athletes maintain a happy and healthy smile." - Dr. Sarah Clark
Dr. Steven Clark is a Conway native who is passionate about providing exceptional, relationship-centered dental care to the community he proudly calls home. He attended St. Joseph School before graduating from Catholic High School for Boys in Little Rock. Dr. Clark earned his bachelor's degree summa cum laude from the University of Central Arkansas before receiving his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the Texas A&M College of Dentistry. During his senior year of dental school, he was honored with the prestigious Merritt-Parks Award, recognizing the graduating senior who demonstrated the most outstanding work in the Department of Periodontics.
Dr. Clark believes dentistry is about far more than healthy teeth—it's about building trust, improving confidence, and helping patients feel genuinely cared for. He is committed to staying at the forefront of of modern dentistry through continuing education and the latest advancements in technology, allowing him to provide comprehensive, comfortable, and high-quality care for patients of all ages. Whether helping a child through their first dental visit or restoring a patient's smile, his goal is for every patient to feel comfortable, informed, and treated like family.
As a co-owner of Southern Smiles Family Dentistry, Dr. Clark enjoys building lasting relationships with generations of families throughout Central Arkansas. He considers it a privilege to care for his neighbors and strives to make every visit a positive experience.
Outside of the office, Dr. Clark enjoys spending time with his wife, Dr. Sarah Clark, and their family. An Eagle Scout and lifelong outdoorsman, he enjoys hunting, fishing, gardening, woodworking, and experimenting with new cooking techniques. Whether he's caring for patients or tending to a backyard garden, Dr. Clark values craftsmanship, attention to detail, and serving others with integrity.
"I've always enjoyed solving problems and working with my hands, which is one of the reasons I was drawn to dentistry. General dentistry gives me the opportunity to combine those passions while building lasting relationships with my patients. I have a particular interest in dental implants, oral surgery, and root canal therapy because they allow me to restore comfort, function, and confidence for people who are often in pain or missing teeth. Whether I'm saving a tooth, replacing one that's been lost, or helping someone overcome years of discomfort, my goal is always the same—to provide honest, compassionate care that helps my patients smile with confidence for years to come." - Dr. Steven Clark
